Your house looks really "tall" and "handsome"!!! I upgraded our ground floor to 2790mm but I thought your house is much higher! You have a very smart update.
I really fell lucky to have your explanation on upgrade sink. It is really helpful. Many thanks as usual! When you have a little spare time, please show me briefly what else you have upgrade. Next week, we will have a color selection so we now intensively try our best to search for our choice ...Your experience and info are always great!
As we just can afford upgrade for our structural items, I'm really struggling with the following items: 1) Square set finish to Entry, hallway, kitchen, family and meals room in lieu of cornice 2) 75mm cornice to remainder of home in lieu of 90mm 3) a Pivot Door frame system up to 2340mm x up to 1200mm door for front door
I know that doing upgrade are sometimes personal's idea but if you can share with me your experiences and thought, it would be very helpful for us.
Tomorrow is our color selection day, but I still can't make a decision for our wall color because I did research about Wattyl color but Fowler just changed their range color to Taubmans! Poor me!!!
Looking forwards to hearing from you soon Thank you!
1) Square set is what is in our home theatre and entry to hallway.. with coffit cieling.. these were part of our package. I can tell you it looks good but with a downside of imperfections of the wall where the cornices would normally cover. Our mid section had a slight rise that is only noticeable if you really look. It is a lot harder for the gyprock fitters to perfect as it depends on the guys who did your frame work. As for the rest of our house we have a contemporary cornice, living space and master was included we had to pay for the other bedrooms, bathroom, laundry and rear hallway.. 2) like i said we liked the contemporary cornices, its suttle but so much nicer than plain cornices... we paid $585 to do the rest of house as mentioned in 1) 3) Go for the 1200mm wide Door for your entry you won't regret it.
So you ready for this list below of our upgrades, bare in mind your building your dream home:
1) wisdom lifestyle package (its on their website) $3990 2) Widened garage by 1meter (so i can store without losing a car spot) $3300 3) 2700mm high ceiling (9FT, yours is 10ft) $3590 4) Step up split level middle of home making our home theatre and home office with 11ft ceilings $3451 5)2340mm Cavity sliding door to our garage $335 6) hume xs24 2340x1200mm front entry door with translame glazing $1645 7)Aluminium stacker window to kitchen $750 8)upgraded all internal doors to Hume SOR 12 - 17 doors in total including pantry and linen $1326 9)high doors to master suite, home theatre and home office $325 10)replace liesure window with stacking doors $990 11)upgraded all our robe doors to sliding and hume SOR 12 panels to match internal doors $948 12)Cavity Sliding door to laundry $195 13)sound screen to home theatre $880 14)home theatre walls painted with feature paint $600 (expensive but i couldn't be bothered to do it myself) 15)upgrade carpet to tiles homeoffice and rear hallway $700 16)upgraded living space tiles to porcelain 600x600 and glass mosaic to bathroom niche $9635 17)cold water point to fridge space $210 18)polyurethane kitchen overhead cupboard $1900 19)shark edge finish to kitchen cupboard no door handles $325 20)polyurethane microwave provision $400 21)floor to ceiling bathroon tiling both ensuite and main $2250 22)counter mount basin with ceasarstone benchtop instead of laminate $1090 23)ducted vacuum system $1650 24)slab end "waterfall ceasarstone" to kitchen $600 25)privacy locks to bathrooms (they are not standard!!!) $75 26)offwite mortar $350 27)additional electricals $1500 28)obscure glazing to bathrooms as our builders standard is just plain windows. $500 29)upgrade kitchen sink to afa cubeline $550
